Business Journal

Overview

The Journal is a simple, per-branch daily notebook — not an accounting ledger. Use it for shift handover notes, incidents, reminders, or anything worth writing down for the next person on shift.

Where to find it

• Sidebar (desktop) or More menu (mobile) → Journal.

• A compact version also appears as a pane on the Retail POS dashboard for quick notes without leaving the sale screen.

Using the journal

1. Tap "+" to open a new entry.

2. Set the Entry Date (the date the note is about, which can differ from today), a Title, and free-text Content.

3. Save. Existing entries can be reopened and edited, and show when they were created and last updated.

4. The main Journal list defaults to the last 30 days of entries and has a search box to find a note by title or content; widen the date range with the calendar picker.

Notes & limitations

Entries can be created and edited, but there is currently no delete option in the Journal screen itself. Entries are scoped to the currently selected branch, so switching branch changes which entries are shown.
