Referral and Reward Programs
Overview
WAJ has two loyalty tools under Marketing: the Referral Program, which rewards existing customers for referring friends while also giving the referred friend a discount, and the Reward Program, a points-based loyalty program. This page covers how to turn on and configure each program from the Marketing side; the exact math behind how a client's points convert into a discount is covered in the loyalty points guide.
Referral Program
Go to Marketing → Referral Program and set, independently:
Referrer Discount % and its Discount Cap (maximum currency value) — what the existing customer gets for referring someone.
Referee Discount % and its Discount Cap — what the new, referred customer gets.
Save to activate the program with these terms.
Reward Program
Go to Marketing → Reward Program to configure it:
Turn the program on or off with the switch at the top.
Points earned per 1 [currency] spent — the fixed earn rate.
Points needed to redeem 1 [currency] — the redeem rate you set, shown live as an effective "cashback %" so you can see the real cost of the program as you type.
Save changes to apply the new rate.
Notes & limitations
Referral discounts cannot exceed 100%.
A promotion code issued to a specific customer through the Referral Program shows up automatically on that customer's profile at checkout — see Promotion Codes.
Reward Program points are earned and redeemed by clients at checkout; see the loyalty points guide for how that balance and its cash value are calculated.
