Universal Search

Overview

Universal Search opens a full-screen search box over whatever page is currently open, so there's no need to navigate back to a specific section first. It can be opened from the search icon in the top bar, from the search item in the navigation, or (on desktop or web) with a keyboard shortcut. Before typing anything, a "Jump to" section suggests app pages to hop to directly.

What you can search for

Typing a name, phone number, or keyword returns results grouped in this order: Customers, Staff, Leads, Bookings, Products, Gift Cards, and Pages (app screens and settings). There is no separate "Sales" group — if a booking has already been checked out, search takes you straight to its sale details instead of the original booking. Results respect permissions: customer results only show if customer profiles are accessible, and staff results depend on staff-access permissions.

Where results take you

  • A customer result opens their profile.

  • A staff result opens their staff details.

  • A lead result opens the lead's detail view, including its stage and source (walk-in, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, referral, campaign, phone, or other).

  • A booking result opens its details, or the sale receipt if it's already checked out.

  • A product result shows its name, price, category, and stock count.

  • A gift card result shows its code, title, and remaining balance.

  • A page result navigates there directly; page matches can be moved through with arrow keys and opened with Enter.

Ask the assistant instead

If nothing matches, "No results found" appears along with an option to send the query straight to the AI assistant — opening a chat pre-filled with what was typed.

Notes & limitations

Search results are always scoped by the requesting user's permissions, so two staff members can see different result sets for the same query.
